Yesterday I was invited to attend a Yelp Elite event in West Hollywood with my boyfriend. Since it's a long drive there, along with rush hour traffic, we decided to make a night out of it.
It was so much fun!!! I was able to attend the event because my boyfriend is a Yelp Elite, and he gets a plus one to most events. He has been invited to all kinds of crazy, delicious events. Some were hosted in clubs with open bar and others are simple like free ice cream.
With all the heat over here in L.A.. we thought ice cream would be pretty amazing. The event started at 8 pm, but since we wanted to arrive early we got there around 7. We were so lucky that we found parking right as we arrived.
After that, we explored the area for a place to have dinner. But nothing spoke to us. We headed back to the ice cream parlor, where the yelp event was located. The ice cream place is called Atticus Creamery & Pies.

Amazingly we were the first ones there and got to try a lot of delicious samples of their famous pies and ice cream. After tasting a variety of flavors, we got to choose one free scoop of ice cream, and let's say that they were very generous portions. I had the Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana ice cream, and my boyfriend had the Raspberry Sorbet.

Both were so flavorful that I couldn't decide which one I liked more. I was worried that the banana would be overpowering, but it was balanced well. We ended up agreeing that both the Raspberry and Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana ice cream paired well together.
Once we finished our ice cream, we went across the street to the mall. We ordered chicken teriyaki from this stall in the food court. After that, we went shopping, and I got myself some earrings and a bag from Nordstrom.
Overall it was a great way to end a long day of work.
