A HUGE Lifestyle Change

Last week I got some sad news, someone I love was diagnosed with diabetes. After a tearful conversation I realized how important it is to treat your body right. Sure we think a soda or a bag of chips won’t do any damage but in the long run it just might.

I have always had horrible eating habits and after that night I am more than willing to change them. I have made a pact with myself to be not only a support system to them but to join them.

Changing what you eat can be extremely difficult. So I have been doing non-stop research on what kind of food they need to start eating and exercise tips.

Tonight I’m going to try and make this.

And since fruit juice is a no-no, I decided to make this for the rest of the week. Hopefully it last that long.

If there is anything to take away from my article its to see your doctor and get checked out. Because there are 29.1 million people in the United States that have diabetes. But the scary part is that 8.1 million of them may be undiagnosed and unaware of their condition.

  1. In adults 20 and older, more than one in every 10 people suffers from diabetes, and in seniors (65 and older), that figure rises to more than one in four.

So do your loved ones a favor and get a physical. To see more of my recipes and pins you can follow me on pinterest (@modernmeow).

Love,

Erika
